چکیده
For aquaculture wastewater with low ammonium nitrogen concentration, combining the carrier adsorption and biological removal processes can maximize their respective advantages. Functional ceramsite that has excellent performance biocompatibility was key to moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) adsorption—shortcut simultaneous nitrification denitrification (shortcut SND) process. Our group prepared a high-strength lightweight met those requirements. In this study, we applied functional in MBBR cope low-concentration wastewater. The Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor
A new biofilm reactor for wastewater treatment, the moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR), is discussed. A general description of the reactor is given. Results from investigations of different applications (carbonaceous removal, nitrification and nitrogen removal) when used for municipal wastewater treatment, are discussed. Design values are given and it is demonstrated that use of this reactor res...

The impact of influent total ammonium nitrogen concentration on nitrite-oxidizing bacteria inhibition in moving bed biofilm reactor.
The application of nitrification-denitrification over nitrite (nitritation-denitritation) with municipal (i.e. diluted and cold (or low-temperature)) wastewater can substantially improve the energy balance of municipal wastewater treatment plants. For the accumulation of nitrite, it is crucial to inhibit nitrite-oxidizing bacteria (NOB) with simultaneous proliferation of ammonium-oxidizing bact...
